Drayton Junior School and Premier Raise £700 for Children's Hospital
Drayton Junior School hosted a special assembly to present Jenny Lind Children's Hospital with a cheque for £700, which pupils raised after winning a Premier Performing Arts "Showdown" Dance event.
Jenny Lind representative, Louise Cooke, attended to accept the donation, and to speak at the assembly, congratulating the winners of the dance show.
The Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital is a hospital within a hospital at the Norfolk and Norwich, for children and young people. They have a consultant team of acute general paediatricians, neonatal paediatricians, paediatric surgeons and community paediatricians who contribute to the services, and are supported by an extensive team of specialist nurses and other professionals including physiotherapy, dietetics, speech and language therapy and play specialists.
.Proud pupil, Chloe, had this to say about their fantastic fundraising:
"We knew that the other groups worked really hard and were brilliant in their performances so it felt really awesome to win the competition! It felt amazing to raise all that money and I am sure all the other girls felt the same way too."
PE Coordinator, Gemma Bond commented:
"It was a huge effort from the girls. They showed terrific concentration and focus to deliver an outstanding performance on the night, for a well-deserved win."
A big well done to all involved, from everyone at Premier.
